Two employees of The Anderson Group recently participated in the "Relay for Life," the American Cancer Society's annual national campaign to raise awareness and money for cancer research.
Office Manager Dyan Risser and Sales Manager Donna Harris walked a combined 3 hours and raised a collective $1,281 for the cause. Dyan participated in the "Relay for Life" June 23-24 at Cocalico High School in Denver, Pa., while Donna walked the Wilson High School track in West Lawn, Pa., on June 16.
"My biggest motivation in walking is the hope of finding a cure," Dyan said.
Added Donna: "Over the last few years, I've had many friends and family members lose their battles with cancer. This year, I lost two friends - both under the age of 40 with young children - to cancer. So when my friend said they were walking in memory of her niece, I decided to join them!"
Thanks, Dyan and Donna, for keeping alive the hope for a cure!
