Launching a new level in emergency care

According to the College of Emergency Physicians, Americans made more than 115 million visits to hospital emergency rooms in 2003, with the average duration of a visit lasting more than three hours. Patients whose symptoms are deemed less severe often have the longest waits, sometimes up to six hours. To address this issues, Ephrata Community Hospital introduced E-Care, an emergency care service designed to get people with everyday emergencies, such as strains, sprains, cuts, bruises and minor burns and fractures, feeling better and back home sooner.

Ephrata called on The Anderson Group to launch E-Care. Part of the launch strategy included the creation of a distinct logo and an attention-getting ad campaign. The campaign announced the service to the local community and described the types of injuries addressed by E-Care. The campaign also invited people to feel good about Ephrata Community Hospital as a premier local medical resource—one that continually changes to meet the healthcare needs of the community by expanding its services, facilities and medical staff.
